Recommendations for this Plan
Usa Jingu
Emperor Shomu was founded in the second year of Jinki (725). At the head office of 40,000 Hachimangu shrines nationwide, the imperial court has been revered since the Nara period. The shrine is a form of the old shrine main shrine, and is called "Hachiman-zukuri" and is designated as a national treasure.
Fukiji Temple
Odo, the oldest existing wooden building in Kyushu, is a national treasure. It is said to be the Kaisan of Jinmon. It is said that the current building was built in the latter half of the Heian period and was built with a single tree, and is equipped with three elements: architecture, mural painting, and sculpture.
Makiodo
Among the 65 temples of Mt. Rokugo, it is the largest temple of the main temple, Makotanmen Nakado. All of the nine existing Buddhist statues are nationally designated important cultural properties, and the soul of the author is contained in them. It is a work of the Heian period from the viewpoint of the style of the Buddha statue.
Kumano Magaibutsu
The giant Fudo Myo (8m) and Dainichi Nyorai (6.8m) Makaibutsu, located 250m up from Taizoji Temple, are representative of Bungo Makaibutsu. It is said to have been made in the late Fujiwara period, and both statues are carved thick and are designated as national important cultural properties and historic sites.
Zaizen Cemetery
Over 100 Kunisaki towers are scattered all over the graveyard, and there is also a treasure tower that is said to be the tomb of Mino Mamoru Zaizen.
Futagoji Temple
Located on the hillside of Mt. Futago (elevation 721m), the highest peak on the Kunisaki Peninsula, it is an ancient temple of Mt. Including the largest statue of Nio on the Kunisaki Peninsula, it is a good way to convey the old temple style such as the Sogomon, the main hall, the Gomadou, and the Okunoin.
